Clearing Up For Autumn
These melon pictures were taken in September just haven't uploaded them earlier. I am pleased I actually grew them, but I am upset I picked them to early as they did not taste nice and also the variety was not the best, it is more like a cucumber than a melon.
Moving on. I have cleared all my buckets of the bee plants and replaced two with daffodils for the spring and the rest with strawberries. These are an experiment as I read in a gardeners old tails book if you plant strawberries in a bucket filled with the soil from around a pine tree you will have the sweetest tasting strawberries.
I have been contacted by the people who decide what is a wonder of the world and they would like to make a new wonder of the world. So my fence would be the 8th wonder of the world. But I declined the offer because I am worried that the amount of people coming to see it will ruin the lawn.
Cut down my asparagus.
Potatoes looking good for Chrimbo.
Kale is to big for its netting.
Brussels going strong.
Other kale looking small but good.
Flower bed cleared. I am going to move my peonies here maybe they will grow if they have a bit more room and light.
