Petersham Nurseries
I have been meaning to go to this Nurseries for a while now, and because we got to Chelsea Flower show so early we were done by 11 and didn't want to go home straight away so on driving out of London we stopped off in Petersham, Richmond where this nursery is. Must note you can't see the nursery very well there is no signs just a painting of there logo on a wall, so if you haven't seen the logo before it is bit of a quick turning. Any who the nursery is lovely surrounded by fields of cows, and the nursery has that shabby chic feel that I love. It was very busy as they were in the middle of lunch service the restaurant was full, and it looked lovely and laid back. So we were told to have some food at there cafe bit, which does a sandwich of the day a soup of the day and some selection of cakes. I think this is more of a nursery which is fast becoming an eating spot rather than a gardening spot, you would come here for lunch or diner and then on the way out pick up a plant or two. Don't get me wrong I do like the whole charm of this place but maybe I am just one for the plants rather than a concept, I would of maybe liked to of seen a bag of compost to buy rather than a rusty table for £1000. Conclusion if you have time to spare and are looking for a bit of inspiration and a relaxed environment than go.
